Why the Gillette Soccer Club?

The Gillette Soccer Club was started in the 1980’s and is the largest soccer club in Northeast Wyoming.  We currently have two official seasons, Fall (August 1 – March 30) and Spring (April 1 – July 31).

We pride ourselves on providing a quality soccer environment involving both the recreation + and competitive player.  Our coaches are quality trained volunteers, most of whom have first-hand experience as a previous player.

How do I register?

Annual registration is available via our website; we utilize an electronic system for registration and player communications.  Registration is open until the deadline as listed on the registration webpage.  Registration is always available as team space allows.  Simply contact a Gillette Soccer Club coach or board member.

Player Placement

Our team placement is based on age and skill level via seasonal evaluations.  Our organized evaluations are conducted by our coaches, Director of Coaching and independent evaluators, ensuring that your player will be placed appropriately.

Where do we play?

As a longtime member of Wyoming Youth Soccer we play in Wyoming USYS Tournaments, Regional Tournaments (South Dakota, Montana, Colorado), Wyoming League, and Wyoming State Cup.  Our teams are open to travel to other area tournaments as the coach, parents and players decide.

How do I coach?

Gillette Soccer Club Coaches must apply every season and are reviewed by the Director of Coaching, who then brings his recommended list to the board of directors for approval.  Coaches applications are on the seasonal registration page.  All coaches are required to have a background check and be approved by Wyoming Youth Soccer before they are allowed to work with any of our youth.

Training Opportunities

The Gillette Soccer Club believes in continual education of not only our coaches, but also that of our players.  Players have the opportunity to participate in training provided by individual seasoned coaches brought in from other areas of the country and even out of the country such as Brazil.  For the last two seasons the Gillette Soccer Club has had a private coach from Brazil.  We also have several camps in the summer including Challenger (June) and Tetra Brazil (August).

We also promote and encourage player participation in the Wyoming Olympic Development Program (ODP).  ODP provides players opportunities for further development and advancement.   Players also have the opportunity for college and national exposure through tournaments and regional camp.

Gillette Soccer Club Tournaments

We host two tournaments through the year.  Our Fall Blast Tournament is held the end of August at Bicentennial Park. Our Winter Blast Tournament is held in February at the Field House of the Campbell County Parks and Recreation Center.

Referee Opportunities

We offer several training opportunities throughout the year for those twelve and over to attain their referee certificate.  We only use official certified referees for our league and tournaments.

How do I get involved?

We are always looking for parent volunteers throughout the year.  Our board of directors meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7 PM.  Our meetings are open to everyone and are publicly announced on our website each month.

Board of Directors

Our boards of directors are a very dedicated group volunteering many, many hours to provide a fair, enjoyable experience to all players and families.  We make every decision based on the safety and interest of all players.  The board of directors is open to input at all times for ways to make our organization better for all.
